The library operates After-School Enrichment sites at six locations across the county, offering hands-on STEAM programs that combine science, technology, engineering, arts, and math in creative, engaging ways.
Ventura County Library Foundation supports incorporating Innovation Labs and Makerspaces into library facilities to teach children the STEAM skills they will need to be successful in tomorrow’s workforce.
The Innovation Labs provide cutting-edge technology and maker spaces where students can explore robotics, coding, digital design, and other 21st-century skills. Through the Discover Science Program, teen volunteers share their passion for science by leading exciting experiments for elementary school children, creating meaningful mentorship opportunities while sparking curiosity in younger students.
