Select library locations also feature AWE Early Literacy Stations, interactive computer workstations preloaded with educational games and activities specifically designed to support early learning in a developmentally appropriate, engaging format. Additionally, the library maintains a strong partnership with First 5 Ventura County, who provides valuable early literacy programs at several library locations enriching the resources available to families.

When parents are at the library, they are exposed to simple read-aloud strategies that they can use to prepare their children for kindergarten, regardless of their own literacy level.
